WHAT IS A WORKPLACE? - If you put the phrase, ââ¬Å"healthy workplaceâ⬠into the Google search engine, you get about 2,000,000 results. Clearly itââ¬â¢s a hot topic. And just as clearly, once you follow some of the links, there are thousands of interpretations of what the phrase means; thousands of providers of healthy workplace models, tools and information; thousands of researchers looking into the subject. - A workplace is a location or building where people perform physical or mental work in order to earn a living. It is usually a location outside ones home or place of residence. Common private-sector workplaces in a town or city include factories, warehouses, stores, banks, restaurants, and hotels.
